Not in Canada :-(

I've got to admit, I'm a bit disappointed about not going over to Canada. There were a couple of problems with my placement (I believe they were struggling to find a new office space) but it resulted in me not being able to go to my original placement up in Montreal. After that first disappointment the British Council put me in touch with another host who were available, JUMP Math. JUMP are based in Toronto however, with the Pan-Am and ParaPan-Am games going on in Toronto over summer, I wasn't able to get accommodation at short notice and so still couldn't take part in the exchange bit of the program. BUT... The person I'd be working with at JUMP, Ewart, kindly said that as most of the work could be done online, we could keep going with a virtual internship. So, as it stands, I am completing work for JUMP from my home and meeting with Ewart twice a week over Skype.

I am still disappointed about not going to Canada, especially when I see all the pictures on Facebook of people having a whale of a time in other countries. I've been to Canada before but that doesn't help. I would have liked to go. But, I guess life doesn't always go the way you want it to. I enjoy seeing everyone else’s photos and seeing what their up to. Can’t wait to see you all at the SSIM wrap-up.
